2009
Miro Gavran’s play ALL ABOUT MEN was awarded GRAND PRIX at the INTERNATIONAL COMEDY FESTIVAL TARNOW 2009 in Poland. This play was performed by the Theater LUDOWY from Cracow, directed by Tomasz Obara.
Miro Gavran was given the IVAN RAOS Prize for his monodrama THE CRAZIEST SHOW IN THE WORLD.
The prize was awarded to him by the Raos Days Society at Medov Dolac, the birthplace of Ivan Raos.
Miro Gavran was awarded the Marin Drzic Prize, given by the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Croatia, for his monodrama THE CRAZIEST SHOW IN THE WORLD.
2007
The author won a SPECIAL PRIZE for novel "THE TEACHER OF MY DREAMS" at the Internatonal Festival of Litterature for Children and Young People in Sofia, Bulgaria.

Miro Gavran's play Nora Today awarded the Ministry of Culture's Marin Drzic Prize.
2004
Play "Laughing Forbidden" received the "Marin Drzic" Award of the Croatian Ministry of Culture.
2003
The award "European Circle" was awarded to Miro Gavran for the exceptional contribution of promoting European valuesin the area of culture. The award was given by the "European Movement"
2002
Miro Gavran's novel Forgotten Son was selected for the IBBY HONOUR LIST 2002. The award ceremony will be held in the Swiss city of Basle in September.
2000
Miro Gavran's comedy Drivers for All Times was declared the best comedy in the Zagreb City Comedy Theatre's competition held in connection with the Theatre's 50th anniversary.
1999
"CENTRAL EUROPEAN TIME" INTERNATIONAL LITERARY AWARD FOR 1999 (Best Central European Writer of the Year). The ten-member adjudicators made their unanimous decision on the award in Budapest, Hungary

THE LOVES OF GEORGE WASHINGTON performed by the Epilog Theatre company was voted best overall play at the 7th Marul's Days Theatre Festival in Split
1996
DEATH OF AN ACTOR performed by the Epilog Theatre company at the 6th Marul's Days Theatre Festival in Split brought Miro Gavran the prize for Best Drama Text in the New Theatre Reality selection.
EVICTION, a comedy, won the prize for the most well-written comedy at the 19th Days of Laughter Theatre Festival in Zagreb

HAPPY DAYS, a novel, won the Mato Lovrak award for the year's best novel in Croatia for children
